As you can see from the before and after photos, Andy basically turned our (rather unattractive) bungalow, into a lovey house! Amazingly, all the actual building work was done by Andy, on his own. A fantastic job. We are thrilled by our revamped, double the size home. Andy was great from start to finish. He gave us a considered, realistic quote for all the work and came in on budget. As mentioned in the other reviews, Andy is honest, skillful, and no bother at all to have working on and in our home. The extension he built is timber framed, fully insulated and clad in Hardie plank. Andy also fitted all the windows, built all the studwork, added laminate floors and all the doors etc, floored the new loft space and added a pull down, fold out ladder access, and put in a beautiful oak staircase. He coordinated the other tradesmen (electrics, plumbing, plasterer, tilers) and was meticulous with all the paperwork etc. A fantastic worker and all round good man, we thoroughly recommend Andy and his services.

Andy has been a pleasure to have around - and our loft extension looks absolutely beautiful. Great value. Excellent communication throughout the project and the way that things are quoted at a fixed price means no hidden costs. Andy has a great work ethic and we have felt happy throughout the project. Andy converted our loft into 2 bedrooms, along with an en-suite. Andys work is of a high standard and he works with the customer to achieve the outcome they desire and at a good price. Andy is extremely friendly and helpful and the kids loved chatting with him everyday. We can't thank Andy enough for our beautiful conversion and we would highly recommend him to anyone seeking to convert their loft space.

Andy (and Luke) recently completed our L-shaped dormer loft conversion and we couldn't be happier. They were reliable, efficient and the workmanship and attention to detail in the loft is incredible. Even better than we could have imagined. On top of that Andy is a thoroughly lovely guy and it was a pleasure to have him in our home. Would highly recommend to all.

We found Andy to be reliable, honest and conscientious. Reliable. If Andy say he’ll be there he’ll be there. Honest. Andy always had our job in mind and always had a work around if our ideas were the most expensive. Conscientious. As the dictionary definition states “wishing to do ones work or duty well and thoroughly” this is Andy to a T… Andy did a loft conversion for us, installed stairs, fitted doors and architrave throughout the house. Andy also did some blockwork, some wood cladding to the exterior of the property and some bespoke cupboards, shelves, a daybed and integrated some ancient wooden columns into our snug amongst other things we threw at him daily, and did them with a smile. All in all Andy is highly capable and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that money just cant buy. If it doesn’t show from the above paragraph, we were very happy with the service AJH Carpentry supplied to our project.

Came round and said would do our loft extension, was given drawings from architect, promised the quote within a couple of weeks, despite numerous chasing no quote for 3 months and stopped replying to messages - even when I asked just to let us know if he'd changed his mind or was too busy. UNRELIABLE
Came round to measure up for quote, never heard anything back and won't take calls or respond to messages.
